200 years of Johann Strauss Sohn - Vienna celebrates the Waltz King
In 2025, Vienna will be all about Johann Strauss Sohn. The famous composer, whose melodies such as the ‘Danube Waltz’ have long been part of Vienna's identity, would have been 200 years old this year. Concerts, exhibitions and events throughout the city - including in many of Vienna's neighbourhoods - are celebrating his musical legacy.
