Join the 5k event on the magnificent Vienna Ringstraße in the heart of the city.

Once around the city centre on the magnificent Ringstraße: The Vienna 5K on Saturday, 5 April is your chance to still join an event on the Vienna City Marathon (VCM) weekend.

Beginners and pros, young and old are welcome. The start is at 18:15 at the university. You will run 5 kilometres on Vienna's magnificent boulevard and cheer at the magnificent VCM finish line in front of the Burgtheater.

Vienna 5K means pure emotion and ‘movement for all’!

Running, walking, strolling, with a wheelchair or pushchair. Everyone is welcome at this event.

The Vienna 5K is officially AIMS-measured and part of the World Athletics Global Calendar.

You can run really fast, you can take it easy and you can even take part without being timed. If you don't want to be timed, you'll join the ‘You did it!’ classification. Without minutes, seconds and placement, but with all the more joy of being there. The official start number is used to determine who has covered the full 5 km distance.

From the couch to the Vienna 5K: it's still possible with a little preparation!

A positive and motivating atmosphere on the course and at the finish area of the Vienna City Marathon on Rathausplatz inspires runners and fans alike. The new 'Bat Run' for the youngest runners, The Daily Mile 800 and 1600 as well as the Coca-Cola Inclusion Run will also take place on the same afternoon. Vienna is on its feet and celebrating movement.

At the Vienna 5K, nobody comes last or last.

The tail runners and tail walkers come at the very end. They accompany and motivate the participants at the back of the field and run or walk with them to the finish line. Chapeau! Let's hear it! And great pride.

* Minus 20% for advantage club members. An amount of €5 per adult participant will be donated to the VCM initiative ‘Run for a tree’. In recent years, new trees were planted in Vienna-Aspern in 2023 and in Vienna-Strebersdorf in 2024 thanks to donations from VCM participants.
