Registration for the marathon and Wiener Städtische half marathon has been open since July. All other events are now ready for you.
New run for the youngest runners
We are looking forward to team spirit at the Powerade relay marathon, a great Saturday with inclusion, children's runs, the Vienna 5K in the heart of Vienna and a premiere for the youngest runners:
Together with Johann Strauss 2025 Wien, we are creating a new category for all runners aged 3-6 - the 'Fledermauslauf' (bat run). 200 metres on the Ringstraße, dressed up as a bat or with make-up, awaken the youngest runners' urge to move.
All successful young runners will receive a plush bat from Johann Strauss 2025 Wien at the finish line as a fluttering memento of this special running experience.
The occasion: The VCM celebrates the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss together with the City of Vienna. The ‘Fledermaus’ (the 'Bat') is known to be the Waltz King's top operetta. The anniversary of the world première is on 5 April.
Look forward to more Strauss-themed events at the VCM 2025, on the beautiful blue Danube and throughout Vienna.

Keep in mind: The Vienna City Marathon 2025 will take place at the beginning of April, two weeks earlier than last time. Interest is already much greater than it was a year ago at the same time. Starting places are limited for all events. Make sure you register soon to take part in Austria's biggest active sports event!
Vienna 5K: In the heart of Vienna with a bonus
Once around the city centre on the Ringstrasse: this fantastic route invites anyone who can cover 5 km within an hour to take part on Saturday, 5 April. Running, walking, with a wheelchair or pushchair, beginners and professionals - all generations and ambitions are welcome!
The Vienna 5K is once again part of the World Athletics Global Calendar and therefore also for fast and record-breaking performances
For members of the 'Vorteilsclub der Stadt Wien' (City of Vienna Benefits Club) at the Vienna 5K there are these discounts:
Kickstart offer: 25% discount on the first 100 registrations for adults
After that: 20% discount on starting places for adults
The discount cannot be redeemed retroactively on existing registrations.
VCM winter running series: Get going!
From now on, there is also a 20% discount for members of the 'Vorteilsclub der Stadt Wien' when registering for the VCM Winter Running Series! Three dates on 15 December, 19 January and 2 March are on the programme.
