Every Saturday, the parkrun takes place in Vienna's Donaupark. This community run covers 5 kilometres and is free for everyone.
On Saturday, 4 March, 9 am we invite you together with the organisers to the VCM Parkrun Day.
Your chance to win
We will raffle five starting places for the new Vienna 5K on Saturday, 22 April 2023 among all participants on this day.Just sign up on the spot if you want to take part. The raffle will be held the following week.
The 5 km course leads over three laps with a view of the Danube Tower and the UNO City. This is a great way to add some variety to your training and get in the swing of things for the 40th Vienna City Marathon.
Register once, run every week
Important: If you are taking part in a parkrun for the first time, you must register online beforehand. You will receive a barcode which you show at the finish line.
This way you will be entered in the results list with your running time and can take part in the parkrun in Donaupark every week - or in another of a total of 2,000 parkruns in 25 countries. There are also weekly parkruns in Linz and Salzburg.
Enrichment for the running scene
You can run fast or slow at parkrun. You can incorporate parkrun into your VCM training, you can walk, you can try to run this distance for the first time, you can take part with a pram or wheelchair - and simply start the weekend actively.
At parkrun, your running time is measured, but there is no time limit and no one finishes last. That's why there's a tail runner. Participation is free of charge.
The parkrun is not organised by the VCM team. Several members of our team have already run and we think it is a great addition to the running community.
We look forward to getting to know each other and having a nice run at the VCM parkrun day!
