Eligibility for Participation
- Runners aged 18 and over are eligible to compete in the marathon (42.195 km). Those born in 2009, 2008 and in some cases 2007 may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian during the online registration process.
- Runners aged 16 and over are eligible to take part in the half marathon. Those born in 2011, 2010 and in some cases 2009 may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian during the online registration process.
- Runners aged 14 and over are eligible to start in the relay marathon. Those born in 2013, 2012 and in some cases 2011 may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian during the online registration process.
Online registration is technically possible only for these age groups.
Are you sure that your child has trained sufficiently for a longer distance and can manage the respective distance without any problems? Then a start is possible with your personal consent as part of the online registration.
Please do not under any circumstances register your child using the wrong age group, as this is a violation of the competition rules and will therefore lead to disqualification (see also the VCM General Terms and Conditions §2 (6)).
Please bear in mind that running a longer distance is a particular strain for children and young people. A start should therefore be well considered. If you are unsure whether you really want to give your child permission, you are welcome to seek advice from the doctors and experts at our VCM Medical Center.
